It is too wide and not made to fit the weight you are doing.

Here are some ideas to help you make the best dumbbell mat for yourself.
Use a sturdy, heavy duty, high quality mat.
I like to use a heavy duty bench press or dumbbell floor pressing mat that has a sturdy back and back leg straps.
This helps to prevent any flexion during the exercise.
Use the same mat for all exercises.
For example, a standard dumbbell overhead press mat can be used for all types of exercises and will be much easier to clean than a cheap, plastic dumbbell weight mat.

This is the mat you will be using most of the time and it can hold quite a lot of weight.
The mat can also be used with a mat made out of wood or other materials to keep the weight from moving around.

Use something stiff.
You don’t want a mat where you can slip, break, or break your wrist.
I recommend a stiffer mat that does not have any padding at all.
