By MATTHEW KRAUSSSTEINVice News reporters Lamesa L. McCombs and Matt Krausssteins joined Vice News on Wednesday to discuss their experiences covering Michigan politics and the state of the press.
Vice News Vice News: How did you come to work for Vice?
Lamesa McCombs: I came here to work on the Lansing Free Press, the state newspaper, which has a team of reporters.
I joined the paper in August 2015 and got to know some of the reporters and staff here.
Matt Kraussstein: It was a great feeling.
I’ve known LamesA McCombs since before I met him, and we worked together in Lansing.
I think Lames started at the Lansing Post-News and then moved onto the Lansing Press-Enterprise and Lansing Register-Guard.
Lames got hired as a reporter for the Lansing Register because I’d been the editor.
Lams’ experience here was great, and he’s really worked really hard for me, and it really gave me a sense of purpose.
It’s really cool to work in Lansing with Lames, but it’s also really exciting because he’s been doing this for years.
I love working in Lansing, and this is the kind of work I was thinking about when I was at the Register-Guards.
I loved it, but I wasn’t sure how I was going to make ends meet and live on a shoestring.
Lameda McCombs: That’s a good question.
I grew up here in the South.
I’m from Mobile, Alabama.
I got my journalism degree in College Station.
I had my first job at the University of Alabama, so I grew my career here.
I actually graduated in the fall of 2016, and I’ve been here since.
I went to work as a political reporter for a Lansing newspaper for about six months, then I started working at the Vice News.
Lameas’ experience has been really good, and as he’s gotten older, he’s learned how to work more efficiently and more efficiently with the staff and with the reporters, and to actually work harder and smarter.
The fact that he’s actually gotten to work at a news organization that has a really high-profile beat, and really has reporters that are very, very passionate about this story, has been incredibly valuable to him.
The press corps is really important, and Lames is a great example of that.
He’s had a lot of great experiences here.
But, the other thing that he brought to the Vice team that really made me happy was that he was incredibly passionate about the people of Michigan.
And, when I talked to him and asked him what he was working on and what he wanted to do, he just really thought that it was really important that he were part of a team that was really dedicated to making sure that the people in Michigan have a voice.
Lomes is someone that I’ve really enjoyed working with.
I really liked his work ethic.
He has a great sense of humor.
He can really bring a lot to the table when he comes in here.
He also really cares about the reporters here.
That’s the most valuable thing, and, he cares a lot about them.
That just kind of made me feel good about this job and really wanted to get a chance to do it with him.
I love working with him, but when it came to reporting, the press corps was just kind, like, the most important thing to me.
I don’t think there’s anyone who cares as much about their work as I do.
Matt McCombs, Vice News reporter: Lames a former Lansing Register and Lansing Post reporter, had the most impact on me, because I grew a little bit older.
Lamias a longtime Lansing Register reporter, Lames’ coverage in the state and his reporting in the region was really critical to my career there.
I mean, I think we have a similar passion for what he does.
I also had the opportunity to be at the Free Press and the Register and the Guardian.
I was a reporter at the Michigan Press Club.
So, I had the experience that Lames had and the passion that he has for reporting.
And it’s really fun to be a part of that group, because they’re really passionate about their job and their reporters and the things that they do, and the fact that they’re in Michigan, it’s just really awesome.
And then there are so many other outlets that are just as passionate about what they do.
So that’s really really cool.
Matt Krausstein, Vice President of Communications and Communications, Vice Press Vice News, Lamea L McCombs.
Lames McCombles: I had a great experience working with Matt and all the staff here at Vice.
And I think Matt was a tremendous asset to us and to the press, and his experience with us really has
