Cleveland Browns coach Hue Jackson is going to do everything in his power to keep this defense fresh.
So much so that he’s even taking a step back and looking for a way to improve it.
And this isn’t just because the Browns are 3-10.
There’s also the fact that the team has lost five straight games.
So if Jackson is doing what he can to fix his team’s defense, why is he doing it at all?
The answer may surprise you.
There is a lot to unpack in the new Cleveland Browns defensive philosophy.
Jackson believes he can help the defense be more physical.
He’s looking for players to step up and do more.
But there’s one other key ingredient that’s going to make the Browns’ defense even better.
And this is where you can take advantage of the many free agent signings that are expected to happen.
We’ve covered a few of these signings already, and now it’s time to dig deeper.
Let’s take a look.
What are the biggest signings that have been made?
The biggest free agent signing of the offseason for the Browns has been defensive tackle Terrance Knighton.
Knighton, who played his college ball at Florida State, has a lot of NFL experience and was on the active roster last season.
But he had a bad season in 2015 and was released by the Falcons.
He signed with the Browns in 2016.
He’s coming off a sack, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
And that’s a pretty good year for a guy who only played two seasons.
He was a fifth-round pick of the Browns back in 2015.
What do you think about the Cleveland Browns signing Terrance Knightson?
